Summer of 2009-10

We had a great Christmas - but it seems a long time ago and it went too quickly.
Most of the Nelson clan (offsring of Mason and Beth) were here:
Mason's family - Alice, Pete and Evie from England, Cesca and Damo from Perth, Lisa, Dickon, Olivia and Eliza from Melbourne (but not for much longer).
Beth's family - Dinah, Alec, Sam and Charlie from Wellington, Sue, Peter, Wills and Julia from England. David Okeby came over from deep north-western Australia a few days after Christmas.
Beth's Okeby nephew, Mark, and his family were here, as was Alice's friend Ruth, and Andrew and Bella, who live in Auckland. All up we were 28 for Christmas lunch up on The Crowsnest. It was a beautiful day and a very happy gathering.
Workwise we have been busy keeping control of grass. There are two new additions to the scene - Nelson's folly - a birdbath, and Rose Row - a mown path along the fenceline where the roses are planted.
Now we look forward to winter - and a new planting season.
